Heavy Like Rain

Today feels heavy like rain

Falling from thick, low hanging clouds.

I expected a clear blue sky.

Raindrops water a thirsty and neglected soul.

A confused spring washes away unexpected snow.

Tension can only be released when I remember

To relax and accept what is.

My resistance never really served nor

Comforted me.

Salty streams pour into a turbulent sea.

Abandoned peace determined to conquer

 My restless defiance and hesitation.

It is here; I watch the current season defy the

Man-made restraints of expectation.
